Last paid to include 1864/06/30 and is entitled to pay therefrom to
1864/08/16, at which time he died. He is entitled to commutation for
clothing from 1863/10/08 to day he died. He is indebted to the
Confederate States for stoppages on account of clothing drawn to
the amount of $30. Final statement by J. R. Edwards. Possibly related to Lewis Crim, b South Carolina, who appears on the 1860 Dale County Census with wife Nancy E., b Georgia. Lewis had a son John D. Crim who survived the war. Another John Crim appears on the 1860 Dale Census, son of William Crim and wife Elizabeth. His age is given as 25, place of birth South Carolina. |
