Other: Listed on NARA record, no further information. ADAH record for J. H. Lewis: "2208405 09/17/1914, Respectfully returned to Mr. H. Y. Brooke, Examiner of Public Accounts State of Alabama. The name of J. H. Lewis has not been found on the only roll on file in this office (one dated March 15, 1862) of Company B, 37th Alabama Infantry ..."  Although the 37th raised several companies in southeastern Alabama (three from Henry County), Co B was composed primarily of Tallapoosa County men. I don't know if the J. H. Lewis in the ADAH reference is the same man listed by NARA with the 15th Alabama.
