born:  21 May 1618 in Greater Waltham, Essex, England
died: 1676 in Jamestown, Virginia
Transported to America by Benjamin Harrison. Obtained a land grant in Virginia on May 18, 1637. He patented 800 acres in James City in 1651 and 700 acres in 1653. Lived at Tyascun Plantation next to Rev. Thomas Hampton II. 

Military Service: Officer in the Colonial Militia. Died while defending Jamestown for Governor Berkeley during Bacon's Rebellion. Rebecca was compensated in 1682 when the Burgesses granted her a large amount of tobacco and a horse because her home was also pillaged.
