He patented 800 acres in James City in 1651 and 700 acres in 1653. Lived at
Tyascun Plantation next to Rev. Thomas Hampton II.

Military Service: Officer in the Colonial Militia. Died while defending Jamestown for Governor Berkeley during Bacon's Rebellion. Rebecca was compensated in 1682 when the Burgesses granted her a large amount of tobacco and a horse because her home was also pillaged. |
