The marker to the right is the back of the stone of Mary Ann Moore, who gave the land for the church.
Two sons of William Knight are listed as charter members, Henry and Elias B.
C.E. Knight may refer to Carolyn Knight, Elias's wife.
This was an "Elderite" congregation, which became a Church of Christ in 1887. The present building
was built in 1885.
