Son of Jesse Mason and Mary Watkins Breedlove Warren.
Older and closest brother of William Henry Warren, born in Hancock County, Georgia in 1837
Teacher, Wilkinson County, Georgia. Poor schools in the 1850s.
Entered the Medical College of Alabama in Mobile in 1859.
Dr. Warren enlisted in Co F 33rd Alabama Infantry Regiment, Confederate States Army on
March 11, 1862.
Dr. Warren died of dysentery on July 7, 1862 and was buried in Grave 3, Row 17 of Square
13
known as Confederate Rest Magnolia Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama, on July 7, 1862.
Dr. Warren's grave is erroneously marked with a headstone that reads Lt. S. A. Warner,
Confederate Soldier.
The Warren family is very thankful for the life of Dr. Sidney A. Warren

to the memory of Dr. Warren's hard work, academic achievements, unselfishness,
love of God and family, and his ultimate sacrifice of dying while serving the country he
